METRC TRACKING SYSTEM --- GREAT IDEA!

We believe that all states should adopt the steps taken by Maine and made the national standard the legal marijuana and hemp businesses.

Maine officials said the state signed a three-year, $150,000 contract with Florida-based Franwell to use its Metrc system to track the growth and distribution of marijuana products. Including Maine, the Metrc seed-to-sale tracking system is used in 12 states and Washington DC. The service will be used initially in Maine’s existing medical cannabis program, regulators said, and eventually in the state’s recreational program, which is in development. Officials from the Department of Administrative and Financial Services noted that Metrc will be using radio-frequency identification tags to track the marijuana. In October, Metrc raised $50 million to expand its operations in a funding round that included an investment company co-founded by rapper Snoop Dogg.

A billion dollar idea --- maybe Snoop Dogg should change his moniker to Bean Counter Snoop Doggy
